The base under the seat is in high-injected plastics with inserts for the legs and as well for optional armrests and row-connection hooks. Seat in form pressed veneers. The armrests are flexible due to the nylon-fiberglass composite, allowing for this unusual ergonomic feature without a need for springs or other mechanical devices. The thin wooden legs were replaced with steel tubes of the same dimension in 2001 to ensure absolute durability."Abaqus" received the "Tokyo Design Award" in 2001....
