1. You can trust us

We take our customers’ privacy seriously. We are committed to protecting our customers’ privacy and complying with all applicable laws and regulations concerning personal data processing and data protection. We also ensure that our customers’ personal data are kept safe and secure in all circumstances.

We need certain information about you in order to provide with the services that you request. We process your personal data with your consent and to pursue our legitimate interest to offer you our services, to manage your customer or other similar relationships with us and to fulfil our obligations in that respect, to correspond with you, to market our services and to ensure safety.

We only collect information that is required to ensure a good customer experience and to be able to execute transactions and other interactions with customers.

Information in the DFYL Customer Registry consists primarily of information you have freely provided, or information collected from your transactions with us. You share personal information with us in various ways.

• Make a return or exchange
• When you submit a complaint and as we deal with the complaint
• Access our websites or use any of our mobile apps.
• Participate in surveys, competitions, promotions, or certain discounts

• Interact with us on social media (by mentioning/tagging us or by contacting us directly)
• Interact with our websites, such as when you visit our websites on a device, enable location-based features, or click on sponsored links or third-party advertisements on our websites or on other websites and online services

4. What kind of information do we collect about you?

The DFYL customer registry may contain the following types of information: 

• Basic details (full name, contact information, customer/account identifier, etc.)
• Information necessary for managing the customer relationship (account history and information about your interactions with us, payment information, information about your purchases, etc.)
• Information generated based on your use of DFYL services (such as your purchase history, location and information about how you use the stefanlindfors.shop)
• Information derived from entries in our customer registry (such as profiling based on your personal attributes and past interactions)
• Information about the device(s) you use to access our services (such as your IP address)

We process your information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which the data is used after which it will be automatically deleted.

5. Profiling

We may use customer profiling to enable the best possible customer experience for you. This is achieved by creating a profile that matches your characteristics as well as possible. The profile may be based on your personal attributes and your past interactions with us as well as other data points. We use customer profiling for example to target and personalize our marketing and services. The content of our marketing may be different between customers due to customer profiling and personalization of the content. Profiles are also used to support our service and product development.

6. You have the right to know what we know about you

You can contact us to request a copy of all the data we have about you. We can also provide your data directly to another company on your request in certain circumstances. We will provide your data normally within 30 days of your request.

As our customer you also have the right to request the correction and/or deletion of inaccurate, unnecessary, incomplete or outdated data and the restriction of their processing. You also have the right to object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.

You have the right at any time to give and withdraw your consent to digital direct marketing or to refuse digital direct marketing, including profiling when it’s used for direct marketing. We will always endeavour to resolve any disagreements about the processing of your personal data directly with you. However, if you are still dissatisfied with the handling of your data, you have the right to refer the matter to the Data Protection Authority.

We will delete your information when we no longer need it. Do you need to update your contact details or would you like to exercise your other rights as a data subject? You can update your contact details and other information on your customer profile or you can contact our customer support at contact@stefanlindfors.shop and we will update your information for you.  If you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject, such as to request a copy of your personal data or to ask us to delete your information, you can contact us at contact@stefanlindfors.shop

7. Do we share your personal information with others?

We never share your personal information with outside parties or for any purpose other than those specified in this document. We ensure that any personal data that we share with Design For Your Life Oy’s partners are properly secured. We also ensure that any third parties who have access to your information keep it confidential, and that we have procedures in place to protect your information. All our third parties are obligated to comply with any applicable data protection laws and regulations.

We may share your personal information with other organisations like our trusted service providers and suppliers who work for us and help us provide you with the best possible customer experience.

We will only ever share your personal information with entities outside the EU/EEA if processing the data otherwise is not possible for technical reasons.

8. What do we do with your information?

Below you can read detailed descriptions of how we use your information as well as the legal basis for that use. 

8.1 DFYL customer accounts

We strive to make shopping and interacting with us effortless and to ensure we can offer you the best possible service. To make sure your experience will be the best possible, 

9. If you are 18 years old, you can sign up for a personal account on our website. When you sign up, you can choose if you want to receive email or text message marketing from us. If you have given your consent for marketing messages, we will personalize the content sent to you to best match your interests. The content is personalized based on the information you have provided to us when signing up, your purchase history and your interactions with our website. You can find more information about this in section 5. You can save delivery addresses ready to be used for orders. We will keep your purchase history on your profile for at least 5 years after the purchase. We reserve the right to deactivate your profile in case of 3 years of inactivity. Shopping lists are deleted after two years of inactivity. The legal basis for processing your profile data is based on your consent and the legitimate interest of DFYL

8.2 Payments, deliveries and assembly service

When you shop on our online store, we need to check that the payment and delivery information provided is correct. Payments to our online store are processed by trusted third parties such as Mastercard, Visa, Apple pay, Google pay and Shop pay. We only keep your information until we can be sure that your payment has been verified. Our lawful bases for processing payment information are our contract with you and our legal obligations.

The order information for all DFYL orders is stored indefinitely to comply with tax legislation and to enable us to handle our obligations towards customers, for example warranty. The customer information on the order is accessed only to fulfill the order, it’s delivery, other bought services or later by the request of the customer for example to handle a return or warranty.  

To implement transport services, we forward the contact and address information you provided in your order to our transport partners: DHL. Identifiable information is used solely for the purpose of transportation services or related matters, such as handling complaints regarding the transport service.

8.3 Interactions with DFYL Customer Service

We may record calls to improve the quality of our service when you call DFYL Customer Service +358 The recording can also be used to resolve any potential disputes in a satisfactory manner.

When you call DFYL Customer Service, send an email, or contact us through chat your message, call recording, and contact log details are stored in our system. The log details include the date and time of the contact, as well as a channel-specific identifier, such as a phone number, email address, or username. We delete the contact log details, messages, and recordings 6 months after the contact.

We might send a feedback survey to everyone who contacts our customer service. The feedback system stores the IP address of the feedback provider (depending on the channel) and an interaction ID, which allows feedback to be associated with the contact in our system (e.g., call recording, email). Feedback, IP addresses, and interaction IDs are retained for a maximum of 12 months.

Our lawful basis for processing information in the context of customer service is either consent, our contract with you or our legal obligations. 

8.4 DFYL campaigns, events, competitions, prize draws

Campaigns
DFYL sometimes runs marketing campaigns that give customers either free delivery or discounts.  Benefits are sent via email for those who sign up to the campaign. There is also a prize draw. To be eligible for the benefits, you will need to register your email address on the campaign website, Email addresses entered on the campaign website will only be used to send the instructions for claiming the benefit, to notify the winners of the prize draw and, potentially, to ask those who did not claim the benefit to fill in a survey after the campaign. The email addresses will not be used for marketing or any other purposes. The email addresses will be deleted from our system after 12 months. Our lawful basis for processing in this case is consent.
Competitions
The competition is subject to special terms and conditions, which all entrants must accept in order to take part. Our lawful basis for processing data in the context of competitions is consent.
Prize draws
DFYL sometimes runs prize draws on the stefanlindfors.shop website. To enter a prize draw, you must accept the terms and conditions of the draw as well as our privacy policy and to enable us to fetch the information required to enter from your profile. We will inform the winners via email The entrants info will be stored in our Prize Draw System for three months after the date of entry. Our lawful basis for processing data in the context of prize draws is consent.
 

9. Cookies

Cookies are small text files containing pieces of data that are sent and received by your browser when you visit websites to identify your device.
