The EgO collection was Lindfors' first product design for the Finnish ceramic factory brand ARABIA, later IITTALA. Lindfors' EgO cups received the Design award at the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt, Germany 1999.   EgO is a high-quality vitreous china collection produced by Finnish company Arabia. EgO's first phase is a series of espresso, cappuccino, and caf-au-lait & tea cups and saucers with a glazed, off-white finish. Functional characteristics include stackability and stability. Because the cups are stabilized by their handles, the EgO saucers don't need cup rings and thus can also serve as small plates for accompanying foods such as pastry. The cups fit on the saucers upside-down, and the saucers fit over the cup as lids. EgO was Lindfors' first project in an on-going collaboration with Arabia that was initiated in May 1996. Despite their unconventional form, the cup-and-saucer sets can be manufactured in the traditional production line, allowing the collection to remain within the price-range of Arabia's target market.
