(Pls. also see "Kosmos II” – sculptural terrace – category 4/12 or 5/12) Product photo: Marco Melander, outdoor photo: Charlotta Boucht When Lindfors began working on the concept for the new permanent terrace of Restaurant Kosmos he realized the furniture had to be a part of his complete design of architecture and sculptures. Being well acquainted with the restaurant business he thought the chair and table definitely had to be stackable and easy to store away for the night, but also have the looks and feel of "exclusive, one-of-a-kind" design. Lindfors designed his "Kosmos Chair" for the "Kosmos II" terrace as a chair that would stack at least five pieces before the pile falling over, adding short armrests to give comfort for customers in line with the "white-table-cloth" dining that "Kosmos" maintains even in the out-door terrace area. 24 identical chairs where fabricated by Mr. Tomi Syrjö exactly according to Lindfors' hand-made first prototype, all in welded and powder coated stainless steel round stock with an upholstered seat in the same fabric as the terrace roof. One “Kosmos” chairs was later purchased by Mr. Bruno Bischofberger for his private collections....
