Stefan Lindfors is Chief of Design at Hotel AX. Aside his design concept he also presented a strategy for Operation of Art Activities. I.e.: There would be on-going art exhibitions as part of the interior. Lindfors stated: “AX wishes to become a serious partner & venue for new and upcoming Artists as an addition to being a spectacular and unique hotel for any guest...! ” Lindfors also commissioned several renowned Finnish Artists to contribute with new work: A sculpture, a painting, a textile art piece, a photograph, chairs by Finnish designers, Finnish film projected on the elevator wall… And seven “Artist Rooms” created by different Artists. 714 being one of these. Lindfors has designed practically everything at AX in addition to the interior architecture in general. I.e.: A large-scale two-headed creature welcoming guests above the main entrance, then continuing indoors across the lobby ceiling. All custom-made interior furniture, toilet & bathroom tiles, carpets, chairs and bar stools, lamps and light installations, the DJ-platform, signs and patterns… NOTE: Hotel AX continues to live, adapt and change, and throughout 2024 there will be essential new elements implemented — both regarding the arts and interior. ...
