Photo: Mikael Lindén. “To us communication is fashion" the CEO Kaj Friman of telecom corp. DNA Finland declared at the briefing to Stefan Lindfors in the beginning of 2001. Lindfors was commissioned to design the essential areas of the new Head Quarters of DNA in a new building by Finnish Architect Tuomo Siitonen. Lindfors decided to create spaces irrational in concept to each other. ”Just like our dreams. I mean we're soon entering a technical world of virtual reality, and the telecom business will certainly play a central roll in all that" Lindfors reasoned. All sculptures and lamps were designed by Lindfors & team, as well as carpets, tiles and much of the furniture. Obviously all interior architecture in the assigned areas was by Lindfors’ team, including – among others – Ms. Aino Tirkkonen, Ms. Helena Sandman, Ms. Kati Lankinen and Mr. Tommi Mäkynen.
