Permanent outdoor sculpture, 2014 & 2020. United States Embassy, Helsinki, Finland. Stefan Lindfors 2020.
The Art Dept. at the U.S.Government, Washington DC, commissioned Lindfors to create a permanent piece of Art for the U.S. Embassy premises in Helsinki, Finland. Anima stands in front of the entrance to the main building on the U.S, Embassy grounds. The “wing” spins freely in the wind around its axle (the vertical post).
Height: 7,5 meters/25 ft., width/length at top: 3 meters/10 ft., wingspread: 2,5 meters/8,5 ft. Vertical post: Acid steel tube. Wing structure: Stainless roundstock. Surface: Transluscent fiberglass. Integrated LED-lighting.
