Photo: Markku Lähdesmäki, Marco Melander Lindfors was one of two Finnish Artists in the “L.A. International" art biennial in the greater Los Angeles area in summer 1997. Lindfors' sculptures for the gallery of Patricia Correia, the Bergamot Station, Santa Monica, CA, are welded steel rod and transparent fiberglass. No integrated lights in this collection of Lindfors' works. The sizes vary from 70cm (2 feet) in height ("Fluid I-IV") to the largest piece "Field", height: 2,5 meters (8 feet). Other works: The egg-shaped "Fathom I-II" & the circular sculptures "Sonar I-II". Lindfors re-hung "Field" at his retrospective one-man exhibition "100% Lindfors" at Ålands Museum in the city of Mariehamn, Finland, in summer 2005. In this new version of the "L.A.International 1997"-piece Lindfors integrated LED lights to give it a new touch. Lindfors assistant in construction in New York in 1997 was Mr. Matt Crane....
