Photo: Kari Holopainen “Reges Insectorum" was Lindfors' first major one-man exhibition as Sculptor, and the entire space of the Amos Anderson Art Museum in Helsinki, Finland, was devoted to his show. The large-scale sculptures are of welded steel, transparent fiberglass and brass plate, ranging in size from 4 X 3 X 5 meters (15 X 10 X 25 feet) to a little less. In addition to the eight major pieces there was also a series of twelve miniatures: "Goliathus X 12”. "Reges Insectorum" is Latin for "The Emperors of the Insects", and all sculpture titles derive from Latin insect names modified by Lindfors. "Attacus", "Zygonyx", "Ixodes", "Demodex", "Azteza", "Ogyris", "Xantophan I" and "Xantophan II". Lindfors' partner in construction was Mr. Timo Sairi....
