Permanent outdoor sculpture. FINAVIA, Helsinki International Airport, Finland. Stefan Lindfors 2017.

Skydreamer was commissioned by FINAVIA as a permanent monument for Helsinki Airport, and stands in front of the entire airport area – visible to all arriving and departing ground traffic - taxis, buses, and private vehicles.

The “wings & body”-structure spins freely in the wind around its axle (the vertical pole). 

Height: 16 meters/53 feet., wingspread: 20 meters/66 feet., length of body: 16 meters/53 feet. Vertical pole: Building industry steel tube, diameter 50 cm/20 inches. Body & wings: Welded stainless roundstock & storm sail fabric. Integrated lighting, outdoor video cannons.
