Photo: Kari Holopainen, Taina Värri The “Moth" system was commissioned for the first "Late Night TV-news" in the history of YLE. The studio designed by Lindfors was first aired on Finnish National TV in September 1988, and it was also one of Lindfors' first professional commissions. The essence in the concept was to reveal the news reader as a person, not only as a "serious face" behind a podium. The design also allowed for quick and easy variatons of color and surfaces from one night on the air to the next.
