The blue bottles were selected to the invitational design exhibition “Mutant Materials in Contemporary Design" at MoMA, New York, in 1995. The exhibition was curated by Ms. Paola Antonelli, including some 160 objects by 100 designers around the world. Lindfors was the only designer from Finland, participating with his "Oil" bottles as well with his “Kemper" chair. The design never made it to production due the a filling line issue, and Lindfors took a second round with the brief, and his new design came into production in 1997.
