MAAMME Poster for design exhibition in honour of Finland's 75-year anniversary. Design Forum Finland. Design: Stefan Lindfors 1992. Lindfors decided to use the Finnish National Weapon, a lion standing on a sable and holding a sword, as the image for the poster, creating the lion in clay and then painting it before shot in studio. Graphic design & lay-out by Lindfors. Some Finnish people were offended by Lindfors’ way of going about interpreting the “sacred” weapon of the Finnish State: “As if were it created by a child” was the argument. “And so it is”, replied Lindfors.
