Photo: Marco Melander Cyclus was commissioned to remain permanently in the park of the Ostrobothnian Muesum in the centre of the city of Vaasa, Finland. Lindfors' installation was unveiled to the public during the “Night of the Arts" in August 1995. Cyclus consists of three identical rows of 1) a strong spotlight, 2) a dragonfly casted in silver, and 3) a transparent 3 meter (10 feet) high welded steel frame with a transparent fiberglass screen. The lamps throw light on the dragonflies and the shadows hit the screens. Each of the dragonflies in silver was casted from a species found in the vicinity of Vaasa....
