LUCIUS ALIENUS
Permanent outdoor sculpture with integrated climbing and sliding for kids’ recreation. City of Pargas, Finland. Stefan Lindfors 2017.
Children’s activity: climbing into the stomach of the fish-kind-of-creature by use of the ladders, then crawling or walking through the body and out through the jaws, using the tongue which functions as a slide.
Length: 8 meters/27 feet, height: 3,5 meters/12 feet, wingspread: 5 meters/17 feet.
Body: Structure is welded stainless roundstock; surface is high gloss stainless plate. Wings, feet, and tongue are painted fiberglass.
