During Milan Design Week 2025, the historic Palazzo Litta became the stage for a curious discovery. Beneath its grand staircase, visitors stumbled upon a hidden installation titled “Boy Under The Stairs” - For the first time, the brand’s new designs were presented to the public: Scaraboy, NYMPH, GiN&TONiC -glasses, and the Party Rescue- chair.
Rather than a conventional showroom, the installation created a sense of intimacy, as though stepping into a secret space. Inside, a world unfolded: furniture, lamps, textiles, tableware, and unexpected objects. The pieces were not just displayed, but arranged in a way that invited visitors to look closer, linger, and imagine how design can tell stories beyond its function.
The launch began with an Opening Party on April 6. From April 7–13, the installation was open daily, drawing streams of curious visitors exploring the wider MoscaPartners Variations exhibition.
What set “Boy Under The Stairs” apart was its playful approach. At a week where design often competes for attention in grand gestures, this debut chose to hide in plain sight. By leading people down the stairs, away from the main halls so it created a different kind of encounter: smaller in scale, but richer in atmosphere.
In the end, stefanlindfors® introduced itself not with spectacle, but with curiosity. It was less about arriving with a polished identity, and more about opening a door - an invitation to step inside a world that promises to stay surprising.
And the reception proved it. The response from visitors was so enthusiastic that the stefanlindfors® team made a joint decision to turn all the prototypes shown in Milan into real, purchasable products. The finished designs will now be officially presented at Helsinki Design Week in September 2025.
